A camera operator
and drone pilot rolled into one

If you can explain to a client whilst filming a hundred-shot sequence that there’s no such thing as being ‘not photogenic’ – it’s just bad lighting… You’re always on the lookout for new types of shots and know how to frame a shot. You know what aperture, shutter speed, ISO, a flat profile, a gimbal, a teleprompter, a slider and a camera crane are. You can tell the difference between PAL and NTSC and choose the right FPS for slow-motion, as well as grey filters. And, of course, whatever’s meant to be in focus is ALWAYS IN FOCUS. On top of that, you can fly a drone and have the relevant qualifications. That means you’ve got what it takes to work with us.

Ideally, if:

You have experience with various film formats (adverts, testimonial videos, event videos, etc.).
You’re mobile, you’ve got a driving licence and your own car, or horses and a stagecoach.
You have your own kit.
You are available and ready to undertake both short- and long-distance travel.
You’re always on the lookout for better shots.
If, as well as acting as the camera operator, you also edit the footage in line with our requirements, that’ll be a substantial sum of 1,000+ PLN.

These are the sort of people we’re looking for first and foremost – the ‘Terminators’ from the film.

What we offer:

Work on a contract basis.
We pay 750 zł net per working day on set (regardless of the number of hours worked; in other words, whether the shift is 2 hours or 16 hours, it still counts as one working day).
When a roofer hammers nails into the roof, he doesn’t charge extra for the hammer, so you need to have your own (good-quality) equipment as a tool.
A “junk contract” – that is, a contract for specific work – is, in our industry, a standard contract involving the transfer of economic copyright for the work; politicians just don’t get it. For us, this is standard practice when taking on a commission. And if you’re self-employed, we settle accounts on the basis of a VAT invoice.
For the best candidates, we offer an employment contract, private healthcare, the option to work remotely and a fuel card.

Editor

Is editing and post-production second nature to you? Do you have a strong back, a comfortable chair, two monitors, and the ability – and the passion – to select the best shots, which you then sync to the beat of the snare drum or bass drum? Can you see colours and adjust them? The editing must be very modern and dynamic, with interesting transitions, masking, scaling and colour grading. Sometimes you need to add some keying, composite motion graphics, change the tempo, and so on. We’re looking for editors who can create text in After Effects using tracking or on bars, add subtitles in SRT format, and produce opening or closing credits. We’re looking for those who also know how to handle audio – that is, to clean it up, extend it, and, if necessary, normalise, compress and mix the audio – because relying on just one skill was the way things were done two decades ago. If you can also add flares and other effects, then we can start discussing a collaboration.

Ideally, if:

You know how to use Premier Pro and Media Encoder, are confident using After Effects, and are also familiar with Illustrator, Photoshop and Audition.
You are able to work with proxy material in the cloud.
It takes you less than 5 days to edit a standard corporate-style video.
You’re keen to improve your skills.

What we offer:

Work on a contract basis.
Remuneration of 850–1,000 PLN net per project.

2D Animator /
Motion Designer

If 2D graphics have taken over your world and you know how to bring them to life on a computer, you’ve got the hang of After Effects and use various animation techniques, you enjoy illustrating and creating characters, you’ve got a good line (not on a glass table), can draw storyboards, rig, compose, incorporate 2.5D elements, render in the correct formats and set the correct frame rate, then it looks like you’d be a great fit for our 2D & motion designer – aka our explainer video wizard.

Ideally, if:

You combine the skills of an illustrator and an animator.
You are able to work in the Adobe suite, particularly in After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
You’re knowledgeable in both graphic design and typography.
You’re versatile and don’t think you’re the centre of the universe.
You work remotely and don’t miss deadlines by making excuses.
You’re constantly improving the quality of your work.

What we offer:

Work on a contract basis.
We set the rate depending on the stage of the project
and the complexity of the 2D animation.
We pay between 250 and 1,000 zł net for a storyboard.
We pay between 150 and 2,000 zł net for motion graphics.

3D Animator

Do you have the soul of a sculptor, yet were born with a (computer) mouse in your hand, and is your destiny to create virtual worlds, 3D objects and characters? What’s more, you’re able to select textures, experiment with lighting and shading, set up camera movements on a timeline, and model and rig. You can create from scratch, but you’re also able to import a precise 3D model from AutoCAD in the correct format, whilst retaining all technical data. You’re well-versed in rendering engines and render farms, and you have a graphics powerhouse of a machine, tailored for working on spatially complex projects. And you understand that time isn’t elastic, so good work organisation and the correct sequence of steps are key. It would be good if you were able to navigate the interfaces of programmes such as Cinema 4D, Blender or 3ds Max with ease and could distinguish between meshes and shapes. If this description fits you, that’s great news, because we’ve got a vacancy for a 3D animation specialist.

Ideally, if:

You are proficient in Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya or 3ds Max.
You know a thing or two about rendering engines.
You have a good sense of spatial awareness and can create models based on a photograph.
You have a good sense of timing and are flexible.
You’ve got a powerful machine for your work, but for quick projects you know about render farms.
You don’t miss deadlines.
You are a human being.

Copywriter,
Scriptwriter

We have a lot of scripts to write based on the brief, meeting notes and analyses of the client’s needs, so you not only need to be able to write, but also to listen. We’re looking for people who can adapt to any style, any emotion and any joke. People who can get a feel for and understand the specifics of any industry, and consequently, write about anything and everything. And by that we mean mature, vivid and to-the-point writing, not rambling or beating about the bush. We require a knowledge of SEO principles, content marketing, the skilful weaving of facts, and correct spelling in Polish – though it would be an advantage if you also have a good command of English or other languages. It’s also good if your imagination knows no bounds, yet can stay within the parameters of a given project, and if your texts can find their place on a website, in an email newsletter, a client proposal, as well as in longer forms such as a screenplay with detailed shot lists, voice-over text or original dialogue. If you feel that this kind of writing flexibility is your calling, we’re more than happy to appoint you as our ninja of the pen and imagination.

Ideally, if:

You’re very empathetic and you’re at least as fluent with words as Bruce Lee was with his thumb.
You can look up information yourself on Google.
You are able to navigate a wide range of topics and sectors.
You meet your deadlines and are a humble writer, open to client feedback and willing to make amendments.
You have experience in writing various types of copy, including film scripts for advertising films and video marketing.

What we offer:

Work on a contract basis.
We pay between 150 and 1,000 zł net per script.
We set rates for other types of writing based on the number of characters or the complexity of the project.
